Data Governance and Compliance Analyst for Fortune 500 Company

We are looking to fill an immediate need for a Data Governance and Compliance Analyst for our client. This client is a global, Fortune 500 comapany headquartered in St. Louis and one of the world leaders focused on sustainable agriculture. They are committed to enable farmers to produce more crops while conserving more natural resources. The Data Governance and Compliance Analyst will represent IT and collaborate with HR, Legal, and other applicable functions to conduct data risk assessments, document data mappings/lifecycle, and help build our data governance model and programs. Develop, document, and implement solutions addressing regulatory, policy and privacy concerns to minimize business impact which would include: o Data mapping o Data lifecycle management o Regulatory compliance - Ensure that business units, functional teams and third parties follow data governance program, meet data-policy requirements and address data-compliance concerns by facilitating and mediating communication and understanding of these topics. - Proactively identify and then collaborate with business units and functional teams to provide direction or develop action plans for identified data-compliance risks. - Assist in the development of data compliance communication, documentation, and processes. Education and Training - Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, computer science or a related discipline is required. - The candidate should have obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification or equivalent experience. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, typically Technical and Business Experience --Five to ten years of experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management or compliance. --Familiarity or experience with cloud computing, online services, Web applications and enterprise applications. --Ability to understand business process flows and to provide recommendations for operationalizing compliance requirements. --Working knowledge of state, federal and international privacy laws, regulations and industry best practices. Knowledge and Skills --Strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice by balancing business needs with data-management risks. --Knowledge of the data management aspects of the product development life cycle, data handling and asset classification. -- Possess an understanding of architectural direction for complex data management efforts. Competencies --Able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including stakeholders at all levels and functions of the company. --Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity. --Inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence. --Flexible during times of change. This company is the Nation's leading private Human Services provider. Typical job duties may include but not limited to are below- -Provide case management services to a caseload of assigned program participants. -Perform or review the eligibility determination for W-2 services, Learnfare, Food Stamps, Medical Assistance, childcare assistance, Job Access Loans/Special Needs Grants, and other supportive services. -Refer program participants to community resources and provide follow up as to the effective provision of service. -Assist the program participant in creating a W-2 Employment Plan, Supportive Services Plan and/or Learnfare plan, implement the plan. -Initiate non-compliance procedures and follows up on process for participants who fail to meet program requirements. -Ensure that all data is entered into the CARES system accurately and in a timely manner. -Research, interpret, and explain federal, State, and local policies governing eligibility legal rights, and responsibilities to applicants and participants. -Participate regularly in work groups and committees aimed at evaluating customer needs, improving services, and implementing new service strategies. -Develop and use expertise to address special issues affecting participants, including, teen pregnancy, AODA, and domestic violence.
