We are currently working with a large government agency in Downtown Phoenix near the Arizona State Capital that is looking to bring in a Grants Manager to assist in the monitoring and financial analysis of a large federal grant. This position is expected to be a contract position for roughly 1 year and the pay is expected to be around $24-25/hour. Grants Management and Oversight - Supports and provides oversight to development and implementation of a federal grant. - Tracks subcontractor progress in service implementation. - In partnership with the agency, create and conduct monitoring activities to develop and to ensure compliance with the Federal grant. - In partnership with agency, represent Arizona at National grantee meetings. - Work in collaboration with Federal Project Officer to participate in project-sponsored webinars and technical assistance calls. - Assist in the development, management, and oversight of subcontracts for the delivery and implementation of program components. - In collaboration with the agency's office of finance, ensure fiscal accountability and provide budget oversight in preparing and monitoring the project's budget to ensure compliance with both state and federal operating procedures. - Collaborate with agency to monitor subcontractor expenditure reports and maintain contact with subcontractors. - Travel to relevant national meetings out of state in collaboration with agency. Reporting: - Prepares and submits a variety of administrative and statistical reports. - Prepare draft documents for program management purposes as well as program marketing. - Compile data and information for monthly reports that track progress. Working hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Required Experience: 1. Project management 2. Evaluation, data analysis, and reporting. 3. Development and oversight of community partnerships or interagency boards 4. Experience in coordination of Federal grants 5. Oversight of subcontracts 6. Monitoring fiscal budgets and outcome measures 7. Provision of technical assistance and educational training's 8. Experience in managed care, behavioral and medical health delivery systems; 9. Conducting assessments to prioritize service needs 10. Knowledge of state government and management practices; state laws, regulations, rules, contracts, policies and requirements related to behavioral health 11. Knowledge of Behavioral health practices, programs, funding, system; 12. Experience in program monitoring, evaluation, training, technical assistance and report development is required. 13. Experience in addressing health disparities 14. Experience in conducting programmatic assessments, planning, and implementation 15. Experience in facilitation of workgroups Desired Experience 1. Oversight of SAMHSA grants 2. Familiarity with publically-funded behavioral health systems 3. Conversant with use of electronic medical records 4. Principles and practices of research and program evaluation 5. Leadership and organizational principles and practices; 6. Program oversight and regulatory methodologies 7. Experience in coordination of policy initiatives 8. Skills in strategic planning Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, health sector management, social work or related field.
