Duties will focus on maintaining and elevating membrane manufacturing processes in robust and reliable performance modes. The engineer will develop expertise in the various stages of membrane manufacturing and testing. The engineer will also transmit this expertise to the operations group through personal working relationships and controlled documentation. This individual will work as a technical support resource to Bedford Membrane. They will be expected to acquire adequate proficiency in the products, processes, and equipment associated with the manufacture of membrane operations. These will include casting, inspection, testing, and modification processes. This individual should also be familiar with resolving quality issues. The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of assigned products or processes including process conditions, yields, process capability, product quality, data collection and interpretation, documentation, and customer interaction. This client is seeking to fill a permanent/direct hire position for a Directory of Quality Assurance. This is a high-visibility position and carries with it a high level of responsibilities. Director - Quality Assurance Reporting directly to the President of the company. Position has ultimate responsibility to ensure every requirement of product quality is achieved and all operations are conducted in compliance with appropriate regulations and standards, including FDA, DEA, OSHA and other regulatory bodies. The main function of the role will be to answer questions related to drug development programs (e.g. dosing, scheduling, patient selection and combination therapy) using mathematical and PK/PD modeling approaches. Some of the projects are expected to be publishable if successful. The duration and schedule are negotiable based on final project scope, as determined by the interest and skills of the selected individual. Specific Duties & responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for managing datesets and implementing mathematical models based on the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of oncology drugs to answer clinically or translationally relevant questions. Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Qualifications (ie: desired prior work experience, applicable skills/techniques, software/tool experience.) Ideal candidates will likely be fresh Master's level graduates looking for exposure to drug development and the biopharmaceutical industry. A background in Pharmacokinetic (PK/PD) modeling techniques is a plus, as is a strong mathematical modeling background. Candidates from other quantitative biological fields (e.g. systems biology, bioengineering, biophysics, pharmacology) will also be considered. Attention to detail, a willingness to learn new techniques and ability to hit the ground running are a must. Flexibility, initiative and scientific curiosity are required. The candidate must be comfortable with multitasking and working in a matrix research environment.
