about us
community involvement
As one of the world's largest HR services groups, employing millions of people every year, we're conscious of our global role in helping to shape the world of work.
Enhancing the communities in which we live and work represents more than good company values; it's also good business. Randstad takes pride in our ongoing financial contributions to United Way initiatives to help underserved communities across the country. We're proud to support women- and minority-owned businesses throughout local communities. We're gratified by the thousands of employee volunteer hours donated towards a range of community initiatives nationwide. Mentoring children, staffing food banks, coaching jobless residents, and building Habitat for Humanity houses are just a few of the countless ways our employees serve those in need and build ties with diverse members of our communities. Here are some of our programs:
- exploreWork introduces job readiness to high school students to increase their awareness of the attitudes, skills, behavior, and preparation needed for success at work. The primary objective is for students to have an opportunity to reflect on their personal goals, consider the opportunities that exist, and make informed decisions about the world of work.
- In 2008, we established a national partnership with the YMCA to provide teens with career mentoring and workforce development skills for enabling long-term success. The initiative, called the Multicultural Achievers Program, is designed to motivate teens to achieve higher educational goals and prepare them for successful entry into the workforce.
- Our Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) partnership is in line with Randstad’s commitment to apply knowledge and skills on a global level to help alleviate poverty. VSO matches the skills of volunteers with the needs of communities in the developing world. By tapping into Randstad’s core competencies and leveraging its network of expertise, VSO can stimulate even more positive change toward meeting the global challenges that face society today.
- In seeking female leaders as execs or expanding their representation on the Board, we value contributions women bring to the workplace. Honored by Women Executive Leadership as one of Florida’s 21 largest public companies with two or more women serving on their corporate boards, we encourage women to participate in business at the highest level.
We're committed to propelling the workforce forward in the communities in which we operate.
